What is a "seat license"?


Server versus Local Computers

There is no cost per user, and there is no cost for additional companies (additional legal entities) that will have their separate accounting and operations running with our software.

When running on a hosted server that is accessed remotely or via the internal company local network or both, no matter if the server is hosted by us or hosted by you or hosted by a third party hosting company, a seat license is one of a number of simultaneous server sessions.

You can have many users share a few seat licenses, and the only restriction is that the maximum connected users at any one time will be the number of seat licenses you purchased.

If the software is installed in local computers connected via your local network to the server where the databases are located, then you need a seat license for each computer that has the software installed.

You can have some licenses (or none) in a hosted server and some licenses (or none) in some computers in your local network, all combinations are possible.

The server where the databases are located can be different from the server where the software runs, and in that case, the server hosting the databases needs no seat licenses. In that case, the software will not run in that server, the server will just contain the databases.

In any seat license, the users can run multiple sessions of our software. There is no limit on the number of software sessions the user can run once he connects to the server via a seat license or once he turns on his computer with a seat license.

For aERP and VL the minimum seat licenses can include seat licenses of the Point Of Sale module, the CRM module, the Recurring Ordering and Billing module or the Bar Code Fulfillment module.

Some extension modules for aERP and VL are separately priced, and when added they upgrade all the aERP and VL seat licenses to include that module.

The one-time-only setup fees of all our products include all services needed to put your software to work, and support for up to 30 days after the software starts live.
There will be no other costs of any kind to put your software to work live in your company.
